FAQs

How do I care for my kit?

It is best to keep your kit in a cool dry place, preferably where the temperature doesn't fluctuate too much.

Your dough will last for 3-6 months. If you notice the dough starting to dry out you can add a few drops of warm water or oil and knead until the dough comes back to life.

You can also contact us if you would like to purchase additional or replacement dough.

Kinetic sand should keep for months in a sealed container. This will obviously depend on how messy it gets during play!

Activated water beads can be stored in a sealable bag or container to keep from drying out.

Coloured rice lasts for months if stored correctly, and provided you ensure your child's hands are dry when playing. As it is a food, you are required to store it as you would food in a pantry.

What age are your kits suitable for?

Sensory play can be beneficial for all ages. However, we do recommend that our kits are not suitable for children under 3 years of age due to small parts. Our stamp kits and play dough are great for younger children, however!

We will be creating a toddler kit very soon, so watch this space!

What do you use to colour your products?

We use food grade non-toxic colouring. However, always try to encourage your child to not put any of our materials near their mouths.

Do I need to worry about allergies when ordering a kit?

Yes, a large percentage of our sensory kits will be food-based. Playdough contains gluten. Foods used include but are not limited to wheat flour, rice, pasta, chickpeas, beans.

Please note: These food-based materials are handled in our kitchen where nuts are consumed.

Do you ship interstate?

Yes!

Can I request a custom box?

Why not! We always love new ideas and themes to work on, and would be happy to give it a go! Please contact us on asoj.sensory@gmail.com to discuss your request.
